Appropriate for age 5+, any younger will need a lot of parental help. 5 yo had a lot of fun.
We bought this as a 5th birthday present for a grandchild and after being shown how it works, she spent quite a bit of the day drawing pictures. Her younger 3-and-a-half-year-old sister had a bit more of a struggle but still had fun taking her turn at drawing things with the gears.Fun, it appeared well made and durable and good value for what we spent.

Just like I remember from being a kid and playing with my Spirograph except better for my littles because of the gear box! So fun!!I love the storage box so you can keep it all together easily. It has washable markers and a design guide book. I also like the size because it requires a half a sheet of printer paper instead of a whole sheet.I definitely recommend this spiralograph Jr.

Such a great toy! All the fun and ingenuity of the original, but compact and slightly easier for younger kids.Got it for my boy when he was just four, and he’s only just really getting into it now he’s nearly five.But yeah it’s an awesome thing to chuck in your bag and get out at a restaurant when he’s getting bored and is obviously way better than an iPad!Easy enough to use with any old paper too so you don’t have to buy more of the specific paper pad you get with it. All clicks together nicely and the parts, paper and pens all fit inside. Genius

My daughter loves this. It works with the thin crayola markers so it’s easier to use for little ones. The tray closes so you can fill it with markers and paper and take it with you.

This product is well made and my grand daughter was easily able to use it and produce perfect spiro pictures. The large, sturdy cogs fit into the outer frame and were easy for her to use. I also loved the fact that the instruction sheet shows clearly which colour cog & which number produces each different sample pattern.
