Easy to teach strategy game. Great for parties and tons of fun.
This game was recommended on multiple websites, so I asked some friends if they’d played it. All who have played this before said it is a great game and I agree after playing myself. If you like strategy games this has an easy learning curve without being too complicated to master. Each game takes about an hour to play. The way it works is each player picks three cards at random. Each card has a mission like the game Risk. You have to connect train cars from one destination to the next depending on your mission. The game board has multiple routes to each destination. There are 5 face up draw piles and one face down pile to choose cards from. On your turn you pick 2 cards from the face up piles or the face down pile unless you choose to pick a wild card from the face up piles and if so, you only get that one card.(if you draw a wild card from the face down pile you still can pick another card) There is no maximum hand size. The goal is to create matches using the different colors available. Depending upon your mission you may have no options to use some colors, or you may have multiple options to use some colors. Each turn you may play train cars or draw cards, but not both. The object is to create color matches of two, three, four, five and six cars, play those combinations in connection with your other train cars to create a contiguous line of train cars until you connect your departure point with your destination point. More strategy is involved when you have the option to block another player’s route, so the more players the better. The game ends when a player has three or less cars left in their inventory.

A Fresh Take on a Timeless Classic
The 2025 refresh of Ticket to Ride keeps everything that made the game a classic while giving it a clean, modern update. It is still the same fun, easy-to-learn cross-country train adventure that works equally well for families and game nights with friends. The 30–60 minute playtime is perfect for weeknights, and the refreshed artwork and components feel more polished compared to older editions. What stands out most is how quickly new players pick it up. The rules are straightforward, but there is enough strategy in route-building and blocking opponents to keep everyone engaged. The updated design breathes new life into a proven favorite, making this version an excellent choice if you are new to the series or ready to upgrade from a worn-out copy. For accessibility, replayability, and overall fun, this is an easy 5-star recommendation.

fun, but takes some effort to learn.
Pretty complicated for 5 people to learn at once, but fun once you get the hang of it. I don’t think this is a good game for kids under 10.
Franrose –
Highly recommend this game, especially if you are new to Ticket to Ride.

I found the game quite interesting and engaging while playing with the family. A very well though out game to entertain the family and doesn’t ever get boring.. Only the cards are quite small to hold. Otherwise no issues. The quality of the product is top-notch. Plus point is you need not be a hard-core gamer to enjoy the essence of this game. It won’t even take much time to finish. So if you have 1- 1.5 hours to spare, this game doesn’t have any alternative. The price is really high for an indian customer. I had to pay more than 4000 bucks to have one. Seems you have no alternative once it gets into your nerves. But thinking about the indian and other oriental customers the price should be lessened. RISK is also a good game but it is not overpriced. Only 1500 bucks will suffice.
