We are turning 25 this year!
Within these 25 years, we have published over 200 games. Many of our original best sellers remain popular staples in stores today.
Why Blue Orange?
The name Blue Orange Games was inspired by a surrealist poem by Paul Éluard, titled “The Earth is Blue Like an Orange.”
This poem helped us view things from a different perspective. The same way Éluard looked at the Earth and saw an orange, we can look at a game and see beyond the simple material object in order to appreciate the greater value behind it.

How did we get our start?
Founded in 2000 by Thierry Denoual in San Francisco, Blue Orange Games began with the creation of Gobblet, inspired by a moment of insight in a local coffee shop, playing with sets of three-sized cups.

Made very poorly/Waste of money!
I gave this to my son for his birthday and in less then a day the string completely came out of the ball. Now it is completely useless. It’s past my return window and now I’m stuck with a broken toy. Not recommended, unless you like to waste money!

Don’t recommend buying this; waist of money. Gave as a gift and the string broke off while the birthday boy was using it for the first time.

Safe toy for solo entertainment
I offered a ZipzyBall (and a FootzyBall) to my 9 year old niece. She had a blast playing with both for hours on her own! Much safer than a yo-yo or a hard ball, ZipzyBall is a great active fidget. It requires a a little strength to throw it, then it bounces right back with the retractable cord. It looks like it’s fun to make it bounce on the floor too. I highly recommend this toy.
