Thoughtfully curated deck with useful adoption tips. A must for nonverbal kids.
I got this deck for my cousin’s 4 year old daughter who has Angelman’s Syndrome and is nonverbal.I absolutely love this thoughtful deck. It comes in a nice sturdy cardboard box. Inside the box are the cards, a lanyard, and a clear case that can work as a carrying case for the kid to keep near them at all times. The cards are organized by various needs, which are each organized by color so it makes it easier for the child to find what they want and show it once they know the cards. Per the instructions, you select the cards that make the most sense based on your child’s routine and needs. You then update and rotate as they grow and change.I also love that their instructions were so thoughtful, with tips for success including not to force use (model and invite instead), praise all communication attempts, introducing only core needs and then slowly building more / going more abstract such as “I am awesome” card. This is an absolutely invaluable tool for nonverbal kids who want to communicate their needs pictorally. Is it going to have every single card you need for your specific child? Probably not, but by the time you use this deck, it will be easy for you to create a “make your own” card and color code it appropriately. We also love that it’s analog, so you don’t have to worry about it running out of battery, or the child getting too much screentime that it is hurting their eyes, etc.

Non-Verbal communciation cards
This set of cards is very nice. The overall quality is nice and they aren’t indestructible but they’ll hold up under normal circumstances maybe even a bit more aggressive use. Each cart is printed on thicker paper and feels laminated. The cards are about the size of typical playing cards and have a variety of words and emotions that help individuals who are non-verbal with communications needs. They also worked well with younger kiddos in the family just learning to express themselves. The photo quality on the cards is crips, clear and easy to read. They would even be good to use in an educational setting.I’d probably not have a need to order again but a decent value for the money, maybe a bit overpriced.

Better for slightly older children, good selection
I like the concept of these cards and in general they are great. I am using them for my 5 year old who can still go mute with his teachers at times. The only issue with this pack is how heavy it is and the sheer amount of cards can be overwhelming for a younger kid. This would work better with older kids who aren’t as bothered by those two factors.

Good product.
This deck has 52 cards and is for Autism Children who are non verbal and provide a visual instruction. This review is based on my wife’s feedback, who is an Autism teach. She loves the cards are color coded for easy find. With sleeves can improve the life of the card. The arts are simple and student can understand. She has a set that self-made as well. The only thing about this set, in her opinion is too big to wear. She wear her set on the neck. That is the only negative for her. Otherwise, she thinks the card are decent quality and with sleeves is a good idea. She said if she couldn’t create her own set, she would buy this.

Excellent tool for when verbal communication is just not working.
I picked these up for my 6 year old grandson who has ADHD and is on the Autusm Spectrum. He is high functioning and fully verbal, but there are times when he has episodes and shuts down completely and will not verbalize or respond to efforts to break through to him. He will, however, readily express his feelings or otherwise let us know what’s going on if there are visual things in the area that he can point to or hand to us.When I saw this collection, I immediately recognized that having this little booklet available to him would enable him to communicate different feelings he’s experiencing to us when he has gone “non-verbal” or is otherwise off-center.It does rely on his being familiar with the emotions and feeling the notebook contains, so he can leaf through and find the page when the need arises. When we first put the booklet together, he was eager to review (he can read all the indicated actions and feelings, as well as recognize the simple but spot on illustrations) all the pages and read each one to us. He later decided he wanted to wear the lanyard, and did test it out when he wanted to let us know he wanted a snack. So he figured out how he could use it for himself even when he is not in a crisis. This is a well thought out set, very nicely executed and delivered..

Communication flash cards for the nonverbal
This is the most amazing set of communication cards for nonverbal individuals. The entire set is very well made and durable. Each card has a high quality picture and very readable wording to help nonverbal individuals have meaningful conversations and interactions. The cards slip easily into the carrying case and it easily attaches to the lanyard. The lanyard is also has an easy to release section so the cards can be carried in a pocket or bag. This set functions well for both the nonverbal and verbal individuals having interactions. The entire set is compact and easy to carry.
